Thinking About My Purpose

Point to Ponder: God is real, no matter how I feel.

Verse to Remember: “For God has said, ‘I will never leave you; I will never abandon you.’ ”

Question to Consider: How can I stay focused on God’s presence, especially when he feels distant?

Answer: God is more focused on faith than he is on feeling. In times of spiritual dryness when our feelings are absent, the only solution is to fight it with faith. We must lean on God’s promises and trust in His word no matter how bad our circumstance might be, never forgetting that He owes us nothing. The fact that God sent His son Jesus to die on the cross for our sins is reason enough for us to be eternally thankful regardless of our circumstances.
