Fleshly Demise

Struggling like Paul,

doing what I despise.

My heart seeks righteousness,

but my sin is my demise.

Continuing this way,

the ending is no surprise.

A straight shot to the grave,

unless I open my eyes.

Looking at the heavens,

praying God hears my cries.

To give me strength on earth,

until I join Him in the sky.
