When I saw this story last week on ESPN my jaw dropped. Diana Nyad had just completed the treacherous swim through shark infested waters from Cuba to Key West. I couldn’t help but be amazed by Nyad’s historic accomplishment. Not only was it an amazing athletic feat, it was even more impressive given her increasing age. After failing on previous attempts Nyad proved that age is nothing but a number and that it is never too late to chase your dreams.
