I flood my life with earthly pleasures,
In an attempt to numb the pain.
It fades away for a little while,
But in the end it’s all the same.
The demons return to haunt my soul,
Seeking to drive me insane.
While I search for solutions in every corner,
Of a world engulfed in flames.
The answers I seek aren’t there to be found,
On my own the pursuit is in vain.
My only hope is outside of myself,
And found in one glorious name.
