BROKEN HEARTS
The world is full of broken hearts,
anxiously waiting to be healed.
Counting down the endless days,
until their gaping holes are filled.
Struggling with each and every pump,
they beat on against their will.
And though their bodies appear full of life,
their hearts are troubled still.
Laughs and smiles cover the faces,
of owners both weak and strong.
But after removing a couple of layers,
there plays a slightly different song.
A tune that screams for all around it,
to help save it from all that’s wrong.
A desperate plea from an ailing heart,
that’s been broken far too long.
